Staging Your Home

When prospective buyers look at your home, they try to envision themselves living there. If the home is dominated by personal items & style, they find themselves less likely to visualize themselves there.

A Buyer Develops An Opinion Within

15 Seconds Of Being At A Property.

Curb appeal is key and could make a difference whether people stop by or drive by. Staging your home is very important. Many buyers will stay in your home longer if it’s staged appropriately.

Your homes first impression is a lasting one.

  • If at all possible please do not be present while your home is being shown. Majority of buyers will feel uneasy
  • Dark colored walls painted neutral colors
  • Wallpaper removed if possible
  • De-personalize- children’s art, excessive photos
  • Cabinets / closets- clean & organized
  • Touch ups- holes in the walls, cracks, touch up paint
  • Power wash your home if necessary
  • If you have a dog, try to remove for any showings
  •    Barking dogs are distracting
  •    Some buyers may be allergic or scared
  • Avoid strong odors- smoke/pet/cooking
  • The easier your property is to show, the more showings you will have
  • Dirty homes are an immediate turnoff.
  • Remove bulky furniture, it mentally shrinks the size of the room.
